The Play: Elektra by Sophocles

The Plot: Elektra, miserable since her mother Clytemnestra murdered her father Agamemnon, awaits her long-lost brother Orestes to avenge the killing. Unbeknownst to her, Orestes, with the Tutor who raised him and his best friend Pylades, have already put into action a deceptive plan to kill the murderers. Recognitions and revenges ensue.
